Iain & Mathew – A Vibrant Celebration by Loch Lomond

Iain and Mathew’s wedding at Rowardennan Lodge was a heartwarming celebration of love, colour, and community. As a wedding photographer in Scotland, it’s always an honour to capture weddings like this filled with intentionality, joy, and inclusivity.

A DIY Wedding Full of Love

Held on the shores of Loch Lomond, they rented out Rowardennan Lodge and turned it into a weekend retreat. Friends and groomsmen helped decorate the space, arrange florals, and set the scene. The entire day felt like a collaboration of love.

Guests arrived in bold colours—reds, oranges, yellows—making every photo pop. But the real showstopper? The couple’s surprise arrival by boat across Loch Lomond. No one saw it coming, and the moment they stepped ashore, it was pure magic.

A Ceremony With Meaning

The ceremony included readings from family and a unique tradition—guests brought stones to symbolise their support. After portraits and candid moments, I stayed for the speeches before the couple enjoyed their evening.

Weddings like Iain and Mathew’s remind me why I love what I do. If you're planning an LGBTQ+ wedding in Scotland, I'd be honoured to tell your story through my lens.
