Capturing Kaleidh & Dougie’s Magical Lochside Wedding
Meeting Kaleidh and Dougie for the first time was a real treat. I visited them at their cozy home in Mangabe, Glasgow, for their pre-wedding shoot, and from that moment, I knew they were something special. They welcomed me warmly, and it was clear they shared a deep bond—not just with each other, but also with their adorable fur baby, who made the shoot even more delightful.
Fast forward to their wedding day, and I arrived early to capture Dougie getting ready with his groomsmen. They were all in traditional Scottish attire, looking absolutely amazing in their kilts. Dougie had this classic, timeless look, and the whole group was full of great energy. We had a blast taking photos while they finished setting up the venue, and then we headed to the water’s edge for some more shots. The guys were in high spirits, and it made for some fun, memorable moments.
Afterward, I joined Kaleidh at her friend’s house, where she and her bridal party were getting ready. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement and joy. I took some detailed shots of the preparations and captured the bond between Kaleidh and her friends—it was clear they were all having a great time together.
The ceremony took place near the loch, and it was simply beautiful. The floral arrangements were stunning, and the setting was intimate, with a few chairs for the older family members and others standing around. As guests began to arrive, the anticipation built up, and when Kaleidh arrived, it was pure magic. I focused on capturing those candid moments that really told the story of the day.
They included some lovely Scottish traditions in their ceremony, like hand-fasting and drinking from the quaich, which added a meaningful touch to the celebration. Everything flowed so naturally and beautifully.
The reception was held at Kinlochard Village Hall, and what made it extra special was the way the couple’s friends and family came together to make it all happen. You could feel the love and support in every detail. The whole day was smooth, joyful, and filled with so much love—it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of it all and to capture these precious memories for Kaleidh and Dougie.
